OSHA Update – provide information on OSHA’s mission, Top 10 Violations, National Emphasis Programs/Events, and the current Regulatory Agenda.

Dan Dwyer is a Compliance Assistance Specialist (CAS) for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  He started with OSHA in 2016 as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer specializing in Safety.  In 2020 he was promoted to be the CAS where his responsibilities include providing general information about OSHA standards, speaking at seminars, workshops, or event, and promoting OSHA’s cooperative programs.  Prior to joining OSHA, Dan served 26 years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring in 2016.  While in the Air Force he worked in the Bioenvironmental Engineering career field conducting and supervising Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene programs.  He also served as a Superintendent for professional military education school where he oversaw all schoolhouse operations.  Dan was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in the northwest Indiana area.  During his time in the Air Force he earned his bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University.
